StoneWater Beach 1st. Walk

The shore that runs along the property of Gardens at Waters East is known as StoneWater Beach.  Obviously that means – lots of stones, from small rocks to large boulders rest at the water’s edge.   Forms and textures of every kind make up the limestone, granite and fossils of various sizes.  A great place on a Great Lake to walk and past the day.

This posting is a very short “sample” of all the photos taken while walking the beach over the years.  Nice to have the lake so close.  Nice to be able to enjoy it so often.

Come along on a walk with me.

Enjoy

  1. That must be a wonderful feeling to see the lake unfrozen after such a long, cold winter. Everything about this post is beautiful, but I especially liked the foggy view looking down the length of the beach. Happy spring!

  4. Whatever the time of year, your beach is dramatic.

I'm updating the Loose and Leafy Tree Followers page

    http://looseandleafy.blogspot.co.uk/p/what-is-tree-following-and-list-of-tree.html

to give a geographical idea of where the trees are. I know you are on Lake Michigan but (and please excuse my lack of knowledge) - does that mean your state is Michigan too?

  6. Beautiful beach! The lake where we live has not been frozen this winter so we have had an ordinarily mild winter. Last year, however we could go skiing to the islands in the lake.

  7. What a fitting name, and quite a romantic one, too - StoneWater. Your photos are fabulous, but I find myself drawn to the first one - not only is the beach beautiful, but the clouds are also amazing in it!
