WatersEast the View + One #1

The Gardens at WatersEast lives along the shore of one of the five Great Lakes in the USA, Lake Michigan.  Around here it is typically referred to as - - THE LAKE.  Wisconsin has more than ten thousand lakes, but everyone knows what you mean when you say – THE LAKE.

This series, like the original BLOG SHOTS series, will continue to post photos taken at the Gardens at WatersEast but will primarily post photos of THE LAKE as seen from the gardens. THE LAKE is such an important part of the environment and weather in this part of the country.  It has a tremendous influence on all that lives and grows in this area every season of the year.

This series will give the due respect and honor that Lake Michigan is owed for the life it gives all things;  humans, plants, bugs and birds, and other living things here in the Gardens at WatersEast.

Each posting in this series will not only share with you great photos and views from the gardens, but also list a couple must know  “facts” about THE LAKE .

Lake Michigan is the third largest Great Lake by surface area and the sixth largest freshwater lake in the world.

AVERAGE DEPTH:  279 ft. / 85 m

Every inch Lake Michigan rises or drops equals 390 billion gallons more or less water in the lake.

Do enjoy this added “dimension” to the garden postings.

PLUS – one photo of a “happy” plant that lives here!

NOTE:   Since this Blog is meant to be an accurate journal of the gardens;
no photos are “staged”, “arranged”, or ”photo-shopped” in anyway.
What is posted – is what it here.  It is what it is.
