Want a "Quickie" ? Today 10.18.16 - - The cut garden

(All “Quickies” are photos taken and posted the same day)
These photos were taken today in the Gardens at Waters East. - -10.18.16  What a beautiful day today!  This afternoon took a walk around the garden.  This week all the plants were cut back for the winter – and even without the flowers – the gardens look great!  The structures, the forms, and the colors – all have  a beauty even after preparing the property for the season to come.
Enjoy

Seasonal Contrast in the Garden - "Blade"

Seasonal Contrast in the - Gardens at Waters East

Postings in this ongoing series will show the same garden “area” and “objects” at two or more different times / seasons of the year.  The contrast will offer the viewer an appreciation of the beauty found in the same spot but in different months.  Some of the photos have never been seen before; others were collected from earlier postings in order to provide the needed contrast.  Each season has its own “feeling”, has its own beauty.

This posting shows the garden statue “Blade” – so called because his arms and legs are cut off to form a more “arty” torso.  Summer greens, autumn reds, and winter whites – enjoying Blade in every season.

Enjoy

Reference Note:  If you check out the archives for this Blog, you will find a number of “contrast” postings in this series.  All help in understanding the gardens throughout the year.

Only One - Today

Only One Today

This posting is of only one plant – the Daisy.  Here are photos from this summer 2016.  With a focus on only one plant – it was thought that you, the viewer, might find details that otherwise could be missed.  Things like, the center detail, the shade of white, the many different visitors that spent time on the blooms, and more.
Enjoy

I confess - couldn't  stop without one of the lake from the patio!

Many looks at:   Only One.
