AMAZING - AMAZING

Amazing – Amazing

This summer has been a year of so many Monarch butterflies.  Unbelievable!
For so many years, there would be only a few found here at the Gardens at Waters East.  This year was a marked difference.  Thousands have passed through the gardens, many laid eggs and hatched into caterpillars then became butterflies.  Amazing!!!  So many photos and videos to share with you in the days ahead.

This posting is only a hint of what is to come.
I will be posting two more “editions” of the Monarchs from the Gardens at Waters Easttaken this summer. This posting is only meant to get you interested in this most interesting of creatures that visit these gardens.  The gardens here, with so much milk weed and native flowers, have long been a feeding station and nursery for the Monarchs.

Monarchs gathering and resting in trees at the gardens.  For three days they stayed here – then they left this weekend to continue their journey on to the central mountains of Mexico. They and their journey are something to admire.
