Yucca - in the garden

Yucca

These are photos taken of the one and only Yucca plant in the gardens. It always looks to me like it belongs in a desert and not growing in the climate of Lake Michigan.  But it does well here as you can see.

Yucca -- from the dictionary - - a plant of the agave family with stiff sword-like leaves and spikes of white bell-shaped flowers that are dependent upon the yucca moth for fertilization, found especially in warm regions of North America and Mexico. )





 As you can see, it is still growing tall.



 Blooms are starting.
