NORMAL

NORMAL
Well just a couple of days ago it was in the mid-sixties here along the shore of Lake Michigan.  The last posting  NOT NORMAL – 2.19.17  gave a view of that.
Today it was a high of 25F and snowed all day yesterday into the night and still lightly snowing this morning.  This is indeed normal for February and not what happened with all the warm air the other day.  So if you want to see what it is really like living here during the winter months – take a look at the photos taken the yesterday and today.  In my humble opinion - this would be a great time to take your winter vacation to a place with sun and warmth!

Enjoy

NOT NORMAL!!!

This weekend has been unusually warm here along the shore.  Saturday it was 61.5 F and today it is 59F.  The average high for this time of year is 29F. never ever like this!  I know it is much warmer inland – but wow this is great for those of us living on the shore of Lake Michigan!
I ran around the garden a couple of time to take a few (well many more than a few) photos.  It is still the middle of winter but you would not know it from the temperatures and the warm sun and breeze.  What a great weekend as a break for the winter season.
I am sharing all this as a  “log” journal of this weekend for the season this year.

Enjoy the pictures and feel the warmth!

Have no idea what it is - but it is green yeah!

Seasonal Contrast - Middle Walk

Seasonal Contrast in the - Gardens at Waters East

Postings in this ongoing series will show the same garden “area” and “objects” at two or more different times / seasons of the year.  The contrast will offer the viewer an appreciation of the beauty found in the same spot but in different months.  Some of the photos have never been seen before, others were collected from earlier postings in order to provide the needed contrast.  Each season has its own “feeling”, has its own  beauty.

Enjoy

StoneWater Beach 7th Walk

The shore that runs along the property of Gardens at Waters East is known as StoneWater Beach.  Obviously that means – lots of stones, from small rocks to large boulders rest at the water’s edge.   Forms and textures of every kind make up the limestone, granite, and fossils of various sizes.  A great place on a Great Lake to walk and past the day.

This posting is a very short “sample” of all the photos taken while walking the beach over the years.  Today – it is just the “rocks”.  Nice to have the lake so close.  Nice to be able to enjoy it so often.

Come along on a walk with me.

Enjoy

Let us start our walk with a sunrise here at the shore
