This was a “quick run around the gardens” with emphasis on the ever-changing clouds with a few blooms thrown in for color. Notice all the wonderful patterns formed by the clouds with the lake below - - - A feast for the eyes.

Spring Flowers - Watershed #12

The watershed for Gardens at Waters East covers a wide expanse of land reaching back inland from Lake Michigan. To fully understand this ecosystem go back into the archives of this Blog and read any of the postings listed as “watershed”: especially the postings for July 2, 2011 – Facts & Photos and anyone of the others that have been posted such as Seen and Unseen – Watershed #3 posted on February 3, 2012 or the special one on rock formations titled Niagara Escarpment – Watershed #6 posted on July 21, 2012.

IN YOUR FACE #1

In Your Face!!!

Me, me, me. Look at me. No, look at me. Better yet, skip all those and look at me! Walking through the Gardens at Waters East, one almost hears this constant refrain. Every plant wants attention. Every bloom is screaming – “I’m so beautiful just look at me!” In many cases they are right. Take a look at some of the beauties basking in the sun and calling to be the center of your attention. Checkout the detail of some of the garden residents.

All of these “portraits” were take here in the gardens. Self centered though they may be, the flowers do make you stop and stare. They seem to be doing “their thing” just for you. So why not indulge them for a few moments while walking the paths.

Spring Flowers - GAWE - 2013 #2
