THE TREE 2015 #6 July

This month there is a different approach to THE TREE!  Over the last months the focus has been on the base of the tree, the trunk, and the many plants in the ground developing around that trunk.  Reviewing the past postings, it is easy to see the quick development of the leaves of plants at the base and even some flowers that have happened since the early days of Spring.

Now, with this posting, imagine that THE TREE is taking the photos.  See now what THE TREE  “sees” as it stands here in the Gardens at Waters East.  It must be a rather happy tree being able to look at and admire the surrounds – the other garden plants, the views of the ravine, the every changing waters of Lake Michigan, the Asian Patio Garden in which it stands, and so much more.

Enjoy being The Tree for a few moments.

Look through its “eyes”.

See what it sees each day while standing outside my window.

Seasonal Contrast in the Garden #17

Postings in this ongoing series will show the same garden “area” and “objects” at two or more different times / seasons of the year.  The contrast will offer the viewer an appreciation of the beauty found in the same spot but in different months.  Some of the photos have never been seen before, others were collected from earlier postings in order to provide the needed contrast.  Each season has its own “feeling”, has its own  beauty.  Here is the Stone Face found on the Middle Walk Path.
