Whitespire Birch

This is the Whitespire Birch Tree in the yard here at the Gardens at Waters East.  I took this photo early in the morning – June 17 at 5:22 AM  in the morning.  Love how the early sunrise gives it a golden look.

( Information form the garden book:   Whitespire has a beautiful spire-like upright form, white non-exfoliating bark and excellent bronze birch borer resistance. Leaves are glossy, dark green turning yellowish-green in fall. Whitespire Birch is very adaptable preferring moist, well drained, slightly acidic soils. Selected over twenty years ago by Dr. Edward R. Hasselkus at the University of Wisconsin, Madison Arboretum.)
