Orange & Wild - - WOW !

It has been a week of storms and rain at Gardens at Waters East.  With such weather happening day after day this week, thought it about time to post photos of one of the storms earlier this month.  As the storm front passed through the area, it was a fantastic sight!  Even the news stations reported on it as being highly unusual.  As the storm passed, the sky turned a brilliant orange.  Have never seen the sky that orange before.  The news anchors said it was caused by the angle of the sun and the level of the cloud deck.  Just look at these  photos.

A most dramatic evening sunset.

Daffodil Retrospective

Gardens at Waters East has a large number of different daffodils growing within the many garden rooms.  Here are a few of the favorites and varieties seen while walking about earlier this Spring.

The blossoms are now long gone, but when they are blooming they surly are a sign that “new life” is beginning in the garden.

Enjoy and may the photos help you to recall Spring in your own garden.

There are oh so many more, but this is enough for now!

ART: Impressionism #4

Impressionism: - - Manet, Monet, & Me

An ongoing series of “art” photos:

Gardens at Waters East  calls these pictures -  Impressionism”.  Here there is a play of color and light.  Here too is expressed inner energy and contemplation.  Photos from the garden can easily be “adjusted” to make very “impressionistic” like paintings.  These can be used in a variety of ways from note cards to letter heads and more.  This is another way of viewing your work and efforts in the garden as “art” and beauty.  Again, these would make interesting note cards.

Created & Found Art- Overview

Created and Found Art

There are many ways to use art in the garden.  Make it a focal point, a hidden to-be-discovered- object of interest, a whimsical piece or “folly”, a meditative construct, on and on.  Gardens at Waters East  (GAWE) contains and showcases many different pieces of enjoyed art.

The art can be a hand crafted piece or a found object enjoyed by the gardener.  Place it where it will receive the “honor” you think it deserves.  Place it where it makes the statement your want visitors to “hear”.

In the Gardens at Waters East,  the following are some of the “art” placed in and around the garden.  In this posting only a couple of the objects are being “reposted” since most have already been seen in the past, or will be in upcoming entries.  Check out the archives for this Blog and you will see many of them from the past months.
