Want a Quickie Today? 10.23.12

“Quickies”

(All “Quickies” are photos taken and posted the same day)
These photos were taken just today at the Gardens at Waters East. - - 10.23.12

Though Lake Michigan is only 280 feet from the patio, it was never visible today.  The waves hitting the beach were easy to hear, but no view of the lake since the fog was absolutely as dense as “pea soup”.  The remaining Fall colors were muted, the air still, and the fog wrapped itself around everything.  The whole day offered itself as a time of reflection and inner journey.

  1. I love the sound of the waves; sometimes we can even hear them on Fremont Street! Your pics are beautiful even though shrouded in fog (or because of it). We arrived in Baton Rouge last night for a wedding; still summer here - gross!

  2. Ah, you have the same foggy autumn weather as we have in Western Europe. I love your beautiful pictures which make your garden also a bit spooky.

  3. Wonderful shots, and it feels familiar as I normally spend most of the day in a fog.

    Sie gefallen mir sehr.
Hier bei uns ist das Wetter auch schlechter geworden. In den nächsten Nächten wird es den ersten Frost geben.
