The days are getting much colder,
even snow has recently fallen.
Winter has begun in the Gardens
at Waters East. The days are
shorter. The sky is greyer and the
sun is lower. Life begins a long
Winter’s nap until Spring returns.
Yet, beauty pops up here or over
there. Garden life continues
though at a much slower pace.
Sometimes at a “frozen-in-time” pace. Yet too many flowers are still blooming at this time.
Enjoy this quick review of some
never before seen photos from this past month here in the gardens at the shore.

Lovely post. You capture the changing seasons beautifully and I especially enjoyed the contrast between the fallen snow and flowers poking their heads up by the shore...such beauty in nature.
ReplyDeleteI looove your stone wall with the red sedum plants. All the pictures are beautiful but my favourite is the one with the sedum ... Wishing you a nice sunday, Jack !
ReplyDeleteBeautiful photos and I have a question, can you eat a milk berry? Looks interesting! And how cool that you can see a bald eagle in the wild! So beautiful! Lovin that sedum in the cracks of that rock wall!
ReplyDeleteLovley photos today.Nice to se the changing in different seasons
ReplyDeleteHugs from me!
So happy to have discovered your blog - your garden is breathtaking, and I can't wait to spend some time looking through your archives!
ReplyDeleteSo much beauty. Each has its own special quality, but I especially love the sedum in the wall. Truly stunning.
ReplyDeleteHello - Denmark i calling :o)
ReplyDeleteThank you for your comment om my gardenblog. You are absolutely right, it seems like we have the same climate og flowers in the garden on each side of the Atlantic Ocean. My garden is close to the sea on the north side of Zealand and as far as I know,Lake Michigan is almost the size of a sea and then the climate is the same. I have heavy clay soil - it is sometimes a bit of a challenge.
Today I have enjoyed your posts showing so many beautiful iris.
je viens vous rendre visite et je suis ravie...tant de beauté dans ces paysages ! merci de me faire voyager...
ReplyDeleteLovely photos--and yes, you may pass my poem around...any of them really...just as long as you spell my name right (as the saying goes!)
ReplyDeleteVilken vacker plats!
ReplyDeleteDu verkar ha liknande väder som vi har med kyla och snö.
Trevligt att det finns några blommor kvar.
Hälsningar

Beauty even in the cold, snowy northern climates. I love the sedum on the wall.
ReplyDeleteNice photos. Wish my garden had as much life in it during November as yours did. I also like the sedum on the wall. Hope you have a great holiday!
ReplyDeleteThe Gardens look charming also in autumn. A lot of life still there.
ReplyDeleteJeg kom bare lige forbi.
ReplyDeleteGode billeder.
Tak for kigget.
Ha´ en god dag.
Winter can be so beautiful when the whiteness is dotted by the bright colours of flowers still in bloom. I like the warm colour tones against the whiteness of snow.
ReplyDeleteI had to pay your blog a visit too, nice pictures, you like to take pictures of the sky just like me, I can see.

Thank you so much for your nice comments on my blog. I have just installed a translator, so I hope you will return to my blog and hopefully be able to read the text. You have a beautiful garden. It´s always inspiring to follow all the different garden blogs. I have just become a member of Blotanical.com, so now I can surf around this winter and hopefully get more inspired.
