Want a "Quickie"? Today 8.22.14

(All “Quickies” are photos taken and posted the same day)
These photos were taken this morning in the Gardens at Waters East. - - 8.22.14  This morning – and pretty much the whole day – the gardens were shrouded in fog, really think fog.  Spider webs were everywhere covered with the dew of the day.  A great time to walk through the gardens and observe the muted colors, the designs, and flowers at bloom.  Take your time and stroll the paths with me.
Enjoy

Lake Michigan, believe it or not, is about 300 feet from these coneflowers.
Trust me it is our there!

NOTE:
In the summer of 2005, 77 years after she was launched in Detroit, the remains of the very last Michigan State Ferry still afloat, The Straits of Mackinac, were intentionally sunk about 14 miles off Chicago's Navy Pier to become a scuba diving attraction. Today she rests in about 80 feet of water and is visited by divers from throughout the world.

  1. Absolutely breathtaking! Everything in bloom at once and the light just right. The porthole sculpture is so perfect for a garden on the lake.
