Coldest Days !!!

 Sunrises coldest days

There are days that are really COLD even here at the lake which is usually warmer than inland.  But a few of the last days of December were so cold!  You can almost feel the cold as you look at the photos here – see the steam coming up off the water forming into clouds.  That is a sure sign that it is very cold.  Each of these days the temperature started each morning at  -17C to -21C and never got much warmer during the rest of the day.

I thought that was it for the coldest part of our winter, then I woke up this morning at, it was 3F (-16.11 C ) and the weather station said it would be below 0 F (-17.78 C )for a few days this week. It is cold and this morning the sunrise looks like it did in December!!!  I’ll have to post a few photos of the weather I like in a couple of day – flowers and sunshine!!!

Bundle up!

It is so very very cold here at the Gardens at Waters East.

The following two photos were taken this morning at 11:00.
You can see - it is still very cold!

Getting to the end of the shipping season.

Enough of this!  Lets see some summer shots!

  1. It's interesting to compare the temperatures at your place and here. Before Christmas we had a few days with -19 C °. On Sunday 19 January we had -22 degrees C ° here. There hasn't been this much snow here in many years either. We can both look forward to the coming spring. I hope it will be warmer at your place very soon. Today we had + 6. You have taken very beautiful pictures of the sun and the clouds.

    1. I too hope it will be warmer soon. This morning it was -7C. That is super cold and the warmth will not be here until April and then probably only in the 50s.

    1. Glad you were able to visit - and see for yourself just how cold this winter has become. I hold on to belief that Spring will happen - but not soon enough!

  5. You are colder than we are. Only a couple of days below 10F for highs here this week. I know it's all relative. Looking forward to the warmer days next week and next season. LOL. Stay warm!

    1. It was really cold this morning -7 F. I still believe that Spring will happen! I keep thinking that you in Germany have it much colder than I do, maybe in parts of Germany it is really cold? Nice to compare our weather in our gardens. John

    1. This has been an unusual winter here. Really cold for a few days in December, then again a couple of days in January. Normally it is cold for most of the month of January, not this year.
