GREEN - Lots of GREEN

By this time of the year here in the Midwest of USA, I like many others, begin to miss GREEN!  Enough of the white.  Snow here & snow there – I say ENOUGH.  So here are photos of GREEN.  It is a relaxing color for the eyes and I would think for the mind.

These photos were taken this morning about 8:30 AM in the Gardens at Waters East. - - 3.10.23.  I was hoping that by this time of the year we would have had enough of the snow – I was wrong!  Still snowing as I type this posting - - humm!

 

When I looked out the windows it was obvious - - the snow and cold are still here. Though I would like it to be gone, I will admit it really is beautiful especially when it is “fresh fallen” as is the case this morning.

One learns not to hate the snow, but to embrace it as beauty.  That makes it easier to handle in my brain.

The Gardens at Waters East has acres and acres of asters.  Each year more appear in the fields continuing to bring more Autumn colors year after years. Please do enjoy the views this season of the year offers here at the lake.

Finally - the selection here at Gardens at Waters East

IN YOUR FACE !!!

Me, me, me.  Look at me.  No, look at me.  Better yet, skip all those and look at me!  Walking through the Gardens at Waters East, one almost hears this constant refrain.  Every plant wants attention.  Every bloom is screaming – “I’m so beautiful just look at me!”  In many cases they are right.  Take a look at some of the beauties basking in the sun and calling to be the center of your attention. Checkout the detail of some of the garden residents.

 

All of these “portraits” were taken here in the gardens.  Self-centered though they may be, the flowers do make you stop and stare.  They seem to be doing “their thing” just for you.  So why not indulge them for a few moments while walking the paths.
