This is suppose to be the first
day of Spring – doesn’t seem like it to me!! It is like the middle of Winter. However even with this cold day and the snows of yesterday,
there is beauty in the gardens. Notice
all the wonderful patterns formed by the snow on plants and stone. - - - A feast for the eyes in design.

Wonderful snow sculptures, and the perfect setting for them, too. The first day of spring...doesn't seem possible, does it, especially compared to last year at this time. Beautiful photographs, as always.
ReplyDeleteIt is beautiful, but you are right - it feels more like winter than spring! Although we have no snow here, spring has been very slow in coming this year. Maybe now that it's "official", spring will hurry and show up!
ReplyDeleteHi Jack!
ReplyDeleteReally beautiful! a landscape so calm ...you have incredible landscape views!
I hope that spring will come soon to your garden.
A warm hug from the Mediterranean.
The weather in Michigan looks even worse than in Rotterdam. We have -2 Celcius at daytime and you -12!! I am crossing my fingers spring will arrive in your part of the world soon too. They say we are going to have a lovely Easter. I think we will have to celebrate it in the garden, because that is where I will probably be :-)!
ReplyDeleteHave a lovely Sunday,
Madelief
So beautiful and calming. Great photos.
ReplyDeleteThank you for popping over to leave a message on my blog - so am returning the compliment! Great shots of the snow - a slight contrast to your header photo - this is stunning with such a variety of plants... is this your own garden? Have a good week - Miranda
ReplyDeleteHej!
ReplyDeleteSo much snow? But your shots are great and beautiful.
Now I long for spring with warmth and flowering;!We have almost no snow but so terrible cold!
Nice to have a visitor from Lake Michigan! Thanks! /Anja
A peaceful, cold morning ... and beautiful pictures. Thank you, Jack, for the tour :) Greetings from Greece !
ReplyDeleteAccording to our local weather forecaster, easterly winds have blown from Russia, across Northern Europe, the UK, and the Atlantic, all the way to your neck of the woods. In other words, you've got a bit of European snow there. Not that we're asking for it back or anything.
