Watershed #26 - Want a "Quickie" ? Today 6.5.16

After posting the “RED TULIP” on the blog this morning, it being such a nice day, decided to take a hike along the Ahnapee Trail the Forestville segment.  The walk was 5 & ½ mile (about 9 kilometers in total ).

"Wild" Phlox

So many different wild flowers in bloom – and the scents in the air – wonderful!  Bugs and bees climbing all over the blooms.  Cannot blame them for feasting on this beautiful day.  Bird songs carried by the breeze – very nice day to walk.

Here are a few of the many plants in bloom along the trail today.  Hope you can enjoy as much as I did out and about today.
Enjoy

Most of the trail is very straight
because it is the railroad bed from long ago.

This marker tell of an accident here on the trail.

Notice the bee about to land on the daisy!

Some thing lives here but I decided not to stay and find out who!

 Yes - I ate it!

Trees dying off - nutrients for the next generations.

 I love all mushrooms,
not necessarily to eat but to view.

Here is a curve - not all of the hike is straight.

Watching me as I am watching it.

  2. You missed the snakes! Couldn't believe the amount of water in there and it's the first strawberry I've seen this season. Great photos, as always.
