Thanksgiving - Sunrises

Sunrises have always fascinated me, especially now living on Lake Michigan.  Everyone is different.  Everyone is beautiful.  For me, everyone is spectacular!

The first series of photos publish here was taken on the 24th the day before Thanksgiving this year, and the second series was taken Sunday the 28th three days after Thanksgiving.  I try to restrain myself.  I have literally hundreds and hundreds of photos of sunrises taken at the Gardens at Waters East on the shores of Lake Michigan lake over the years.

ENJOY

as I do each morning!

Governor Dodge State Park

Recently took a hike to the Stephens Falls area of Governor Dodge State Park.  It is an enormous park with just over 5000 acres of steep hills, bluffs and deep valleys plus two lakes and a waterfall. It is located just west of the city of Madison, Wisconsin.

Since it was a weekend, there were lots of people out hiking in nature. It was nice to see so many people out enjoying the beauty of the park but I will admit that I prefer a little more quiet and less voices talking so I can take in the sounds of the waterfall, wind, birds, etc.  Next time I think I will go during the week.

Enjoy

Never before see garden photos.

Fall "cleanup" 2021

 Fall “cleanup”

It is once again that time of year to prepare the gardens for the Winter season.  Always a lot of work these weeks with trimming, cutting, raking, plant moving, etc.  and plenty will be left for Spring too!

Here are a few photos of some of the work done to date. Though it is work, no doubt all you gardeners know that already, it is nice being outside with great weather and great views. It makes all the work easier to handle.

ENJOY

Every year I keep the milkweed seed
