Recently took a hike to the Stephens Falls area of Governor Dodge State Park. It is an enormous park with just over 5000 acres of steep hills, bluffs and deep valleys plus two lakes and a waterfall. It is located just west of the city of Madison, Wisconsin.
Since it was a weekend, there were lots of people out hiking in nature. It was nice to see so many people out enjoying the beauty of the park but I will admit that I prefer a little more quiet and less voices talking so I can take in the sounds of the waterfall, wind, birds, etc. Next time I think I will go during the week.
You certainly captured some lovely scenes.
ReplyDeleteGreat place for a hike! We certainly have some great ones in this area and this state. Thanks for sharing some highlights.
ReplyDeleteBeing "new" to living in this area, I will agree. There are wonderful place rather close to the city, to get out and about for the day. LOVE IT!
