Joy & Sign of Hope #7

I am calling this series – Joy & Signs of Hope.

There are not many uplifting things in the news these days, so I decided to do a little more posting on the blog.  Seeing things of beauty can bring a little joy to all of us at this time.  So, in addition to the many regular postings here, over the next months I will do my part to brighten up your day with many recent photos taken of the beauty that lives here all year, Spring through Winter in the Gardens at Waters East.

I am calling these special postings – Joy & Signs of Hope.

Hope this helps!

  1. Thank you so much for visiting my blog ('Wild and Wonderful'). What a lovely idea to do a series on 'Joy and signs of hope' at this uncertain time. I, for one, am certainly feeling uplifted by the bright colo(u)rs in your post. I like the spider's web, but am particularly drawn to the beautiful blue of the water on the shores of the lake.

    1. I do agree, the lake, Lake Michigan, is beautiful. Truly a beautiful spot to have as a backdrop to my gardens here. I try to include a photo of the lake in most of my postings since it is such a vital part of these acres.

    1. I think all flowers bring joy, except maybe the smell of the corpus flower - really a bad smell! Glad to lift your "joy" today.

  3. Those are really beautiful. Echinacea is on my list to grow a lot more this year. I'm guessing the golden flower is coreopsis. I will try that this year too.

    1. Sorry about the fist reply. I was looking at the wrong gold flower. Jaja You are right. The one you were mentioned is the coreopsis. Me Bad!

  4. The golden flower is call False Sunflower, but I have no idea of the real name. It grows 4 to 5 feet tall every summer and blooms like crazy. It spreads freely so I cut down many each year to keep it in check.

  5. Yes, this is true eye-candy, even as I'm watching the blowing snow outside.

  6. I am sitting here at the computer looking out the window at the gardens, and yes it is snowing too! Looks nice from in the house, but not for driving today. It is nice how taking time to visit all the different Blogs is such a big help to survive the winters in Wisconsin. Flowerts do like you our days!!!
