One Singular Sensation

Today the focus will be on just one of the many plants growing in the Gardens at Waters East  Flemish Poppy.  Every year this flower reseeds itself and every year it appears here and there.  Love the spontaneity of where the plants show up each Spring and love even more the pale purple and delicate petals that move with the gentlest of breezes.

Enjoy this Summer Beauty

Large groups sprout up here and there.

Poppy and Friends!

As I said above, they show up everywhere
even at he front door steps.

  1. It is a plant that grows every year where it exists, even if it is not planted. In addition to being beautiful, it is also highly desired by some people...
    I love Poppy's friends.
    Beautiful report

  2. Oh beautiful! I've tried with no success to get poppies going for several years. I guess I just don't have enough sun for them, even when I plant them on the west side of the house where there is some sun.

    1. They may need more sun. Mine are in the sun most of the day and they spread all over the place.

  3. Beautiful. I am at that point in my life that if a plant wants to grow voluntarily, I will allow it to.

    1. I don't even remember how I acquired that poppy, but somehow I did and I love it. No work. Self-seeds. My kind of garden jaja.

    1. Lots of detail which is easy to miss if one only walks by without stopping to look closely.
