Frederick Springs & Indian Mounds

What a beautiful day to take a hike.  Went to a nature preserve just at the edge of Madison  - Frederick Springs.  Walked four miles to see the Springs and to visit a sacred area of Indian Mounds at the top of a hill overlooking the springs.

Hope you enjoy it as much as I did today.

  1. Fascinating. I see that Frederick Springs is in Pheasant Branch Conservancy. I need to get over there again one of these day. Thanks, I'll check it out!

  2. Once again I have loads of photos from our hike that day, only shared a couple. For me there is always a "sacred feeling" when I visit Indian burial grounds. Remembering their lives in that spot. Very nice indeed!
