Each month Gardens at Waters East (GAWE) will post a few never before seen photos of “garden life” called - - BLOG SHOTS. Here are the photos for this posting. The photos posted today were taken during the summer and more recently January and February of 2023. I think the dates will be obvious – some are warm and the others – well enough of the cold.

The sea view is outstanding
ReplyDeleteI too like seeing photos of the Lake Michigan here. It is like an ocean, can not see the other side which is 60 miles across at this point and the waves are sometimes enormous. Feels like an ocean, but only one of the five Great Lakes here.
DeleteThe 'warm' pictures are especially lovely at this time of year.
ReplyDeleteI agree with you Ruth. They give all of us gardeners hope that soon it will be Spring and Summer once again.
DeleteI like your view. Ship in "ice fog" is very beautiful. The coneflower garden is amazing to look at. I long very much for spring now. This winter seems endless. Thank you for the encouraging photos.
ReplyDeleteMarit, I too like the ship win the ice fog. Almost ghostly! Hang in there, spring can not be much further behind!
DeleteTodo se ve precioso. Me encantan.
ReplyDeleteThanks Teresa. Even season is precious, all have beauty even when cold!
DeleteLovely photos. I curious about how those schooner ribs got up so high on the shore? Interesting find.
ReplyDeleteI carried those ship artifacts from the beach, a little more work than I thought it would be. However I am happy they are in the garden. They "honor" this very place on Earth.
DeleteBonitos amaneceres y unas flores preciosas.
ReplyDeleteSaludos.
Even those very cold sunrises are beautiful. Always nice to see a new day begin - even if - 10 F
DeleteInteresante y bonito.
ReplyDeleteI do agree. The views here at the gardens are special, year round.
DeleteHello :=) Very beautiful flowers and sea views.
ReplyDeleteAll the best.
That is not the sea, only my lake at the gardens. Lake Michigan is enormous but even Lake Superior just north of my state is even bigger. Plenty of water here in the midwest! Glad you were able to visit.
DeleteExcellent selection of photos. Beautiful landscapes in winter, the sunset photos are fantastic and the beauty of the flowers to color our eyes, what a magnificent iris.
ReplyDeleteHappy you enjoyed the photos of the gardens here. Those that you thought were sunset photos are really sunrise photos. that is Lake Michigan that you see in the photos. Gardens at Waters East sits along the Western shore of that Great Lake. I agree, It is beautiful.
DeleteYour winter sunrises are beautiful, as are your many blooms. Nicely photographed!
ReplyDeleteI do agree for sure about the sunrises. This place is a photographer's dream place. Everyday especially the sunrises are beautiful, absolutely beautiful. Glad you enjoyed your visit.
DeleteThat German Iris is a stunner!
ReplyDeleteit is! That is true. I have a number of different colors in the gardens - all are delicate in form.
